Rules, fees and procedures in the UAE change often, and any website can make a mistake. When Gulf Simple gets something wrong, we want to know and we fix it. This page explains how.
How to report an error
Send us a message through our contact form. Choosing the “Correction or update” topic helps us find it quickly. Please include:
- the address of the page
- what you think is wrong or out of date
- if you can, a link to the official source that shows the correct information, for example a page on u.ae, ICP, GDRFA Dubai, MOHRE or RTA
Please do not send copies of your personal documents. A link to the public source is enough.
What happens next
- We review every report against the official source.
- If the guide is wrong or out of date, we correct it and the Last updated date at the top of the page changes.
- Significant errors, such as a wrong fee, deadline, requirement or legal point, are fixed promptly.
- Small spelling, grammar or formatting fixes are made as we find them.
- If we cannot confirm the report from an official source, we leave the guide as it is and, where we can, reply to explain why.
We do not quietly change the rules
We do not slip a new fee, rule or step into a guide without a trace. Whenever a fact in a guide is corrected or updated, the Last updated date changes too, so you can always see that the page has been revised. If a rule has changed, the guide describes the rule as it now stands and links to the source that confirms it.
Changes announced by the authorities
When an authority announces a new rule or fee, we update the guides it affects as soon as we can confirm the change on the official source. Until the authority publishes the detail, a guide will say that it has not yet been confirmed.
